LOST in association with UNFPA-Lebanon, AUB and LAU has recently launched its latest project of capacity development and life skills training for Syrian and Lebanese women in the Baalbeck El-Hermel area. The project which started on March 19thand ends September 30th is aimed towards 1420 women beneficiaries residing in the respective area. It serves to galvanize their self esteem, increasing their capacities and awareness level.
The project is of dual structure including two fields. The first field comprises over 50 basic life skill sessions which help them develop basic life skill sets to pilot their lives. The second field which consists of 24 sessions about problem solving skills deals with reducing domestic gender based violence and encouraging the development of positive coping mechanisms. At the end of each training participant will receive a specially designed assistant kit as a gift.
