On Saturday, the 16th of February, 2013, the Lebanese Organization of Studies and Training celebrated the launch of its developmental programs for 2013 in a ceremony at Tamouz hall- Baalbeck in the presence of prominent community figures and different stakeholders.
Dr. Abbas Nasrallah, the Secretary- General of Islamic University in Lebanon, the bishop Mr. Elias Rahal and representatives of political parties attended.
After a welcoming note by Mr. Tarek Chebli, Dr. Ramy Lakkis, the founder of LOST delivered a speech in which he introduced the new programs to be executed by LOST in 2013 including development, training, education and touristic projects. Dr. Lakkis also announced the establishment of a “Peace building Unit” at LOST.
In his turn, Dr. Nasrallah thanked LOST for its great efforts in supporting the development in Baalbeck- Hermel region and emphasized on the importance of education in improving the socio- economic status of the local community.
LOST seized the opportunity to distribute certificates for more than 48 graduates at ECC.
