LOST has launched a new project titled “Promoting Women's role in Participatory Budgeting”, in its four branches:Baalbek, Bednayel, Hermel and Ein.
The main objectives of the project are to train 60 women from (Baalbek, Nabi Othman, Hawch el Rafka, Hermel) on municipal work and advocacy techniques and enable them to utilize the knowledge and skills acquired to institutionalize consultative processes with local government by advocating for allocating funds for women empowerment in 4 municipalities in Baalbek-Hermel region; and also enhance local participation through developing responsiveness to community needs and voicing public concerns through engaging women in the process of participatory budgeting with local municipalities.
The project will last for four months and it is funded by the British Embassy in Lebanon.
